Urca do Minhoto is where the Brazilian Hawaiian wave happens, 29km from the Brazilian coast near the small towns of Galinhos and Guamaré. In a first glance, by the size of the waves, landscapes with jet skis and the beauty of the emerald blue of the sea, leaves us the impression that we are in some other classic place of the world like Fiji or Hawaii.
Sometimes it happens swells, with waves reaching up to 3 meters high, the waves are highly dangerous. Recently 36 surfers tried to venture, but only 8 of them were able to surf the waves, among them a woman, Michaela Fregonese.
"They say it's one of the world's most top spots," says surfer Pedro Calado, one of the biggest big riders in Brazil.
